Find me on:

"Having epilepsy, for me, is something that has determined me. I hasn't deterred me from anything."

Bobbi is an amazing young woman who was diagnosed with epilepsy when she was 15 years old. She lived with seizures for 10 years while doctors struggled to find a diagnosis. Anti-seizure medications did not work, and at one point, some doctors told her that her condition was "all in her head".

Fortunately, Bobbi found a team of doctors at The Center for Neurological and Neurodevelopmental Health (CNNH) who performed a number of advanced testing techniques, including a Sense Array EEG and genetic testing through Courtagen Life Sciences, to find a definitive diagnosis. Armed with information about genetic variant that was identified via theepiSEEK™ Next Generation Sequencing Panel, the CNNH team found a treatment plan for Bobbi that changed her life.

Since her diagnosis, she has earned her driver's license, graduated from Temple University, gotten married, and purchased a home. Epilepsy surely hasn't deterred her at all!
